Manuel Rondelli was born in Bolzano (Italy) in 1991. He studied Chemistry at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), where he obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, carrying out his master thesis at University of Basel in the laboratory of Prof. Konrad Tiefenbacher. Currently, he is a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Tomás Martín and Dr. Antonio Daranas in the Department of Molecular Sciences at the Institute of Natural Products and Agrobiology (IPNA-CSIC).
The emphasis of his research is in the fields of molecular recognition and supramolecular chemistry. His thesis is focused on the development of synthetic receptors for the in-detail determination of factors that govern molecular recognition events, as well as the design and synthesis of supramolecular structures based on dynamic covalent chemistry.
