The Director of Innovation of the Cabildo de Tenerife visits the IPNA-CSIC

On September 19 and 26, the Institute of Natural Products and Agrobiology received the visit of the Director of Innovation of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Mr. José Clemente Díaz Gómez, who showed great interest in the different projects financed by the Cabildo de Tenerife in the areas of biodiversity, agrobiology and chemistry.

On the first day, presentations were made by Dr. Aarón González Castro, researcher of the GESTBIOISLAS project for the conservation of biodiversity of endangered species on the island of Tenerife, Dr. Dácil Hernández, researcher of the TRANSALUDAGRO project, focused on the development of results of commercial interest transferable to companies in medical chemistry and sustainable agriculture, and Dr. Marta López Darias, researcher of the INVASISLAS project, focused on the management of invasive species in Tenerife.

The second day included presentations by Dr. Pedro Miranda Chinea, who presented his project CIGUATOX, which aims to develop a vaccine against ciguatera, Dr. Antonio Morales de la Nuez and his project INMUNOWINE, aimed at creating a test to identify the species of microorganisms present in the fermentation process of wine, and Dr. Romenillo Carrillo Fumero, who presented the PROHUNT project, focused on research into Huntington's disease.
