ULL and CSIC patent a product that allows the growth of agricultural species with 30% less irrigation

Two research groups of the University of La Laguna and the Institute of Natural Products and Agrobiology (IPNA) of the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) have licensed to a company in the agricultural sector, the patent for a product that allows the growth and development of agricultural species with 30% less irrigation water.

The researchers that have participated in this project are David Jiménez-Arias, Alicia Boto Castro and Andrés Borges, from IPNA-CSIC, while on the part of the University of La Laguna, Francisco Valdés and Juan Cristo Luis Jorge, of the Department of Botany, Ecology and Plant Physiology, and José Antonio Pérez, from the Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cell Biology and Genetics.
