Research Plan
The Cabildo Insular de Tenerife supports the IPNA's research work with the creation of a Research Plan specifically designed for the centre. This initiative is part of the Tenerife Innova 2016-2021 strategy and is financed by the Canary Islands Development Fund (FDCAN) within the Strategic Framework for Island Development (MEDI).
The main objective of this Plan is to bring the scientific capacities as well as the technological achievements developed in the centre closer to all socio-economic sectors, mainly on a regional scale (companies, universities, public administration, etc.), in order to transform research into social and economic welfare.
RESOURCE AND INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT
The research project is focused on ensuring an adequate critical mass of laboratory support technicians, as well as optimising the available facilities and space in order to improve the centre's scientific and technical capabilities. This action will enable quality research to be undertaken, besides fostering highly competitive R&D activities in collaboration with the production sector.
COMMUNICATION AND DISSEMINATION
The main objective is to raise the regional, national and international visibility of the IPNA-CSIC and develop alliances with R&D&I agents that reinforce research excellence and knowledge transfer.
